Bryn Mawr, PA -- The Board of Directors of Aqua America, Inc. (NYSE: WTR)  today declared a quarterly cash dividend payment of $0.125 per share payable on June 1, 2008, to all shareholders of record as of May 16, 2008.

The June dividend payment of $0.125 per share is nine percent higher than the dividend the company paid in June 2007 of $0.115 per share. Aqua America has paid a dividend for more than 61 years and has increased the company dividend 17 times in the last 16 years.
