Source: US Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region

Sacramento, CA - The Bureau of Reclamation has made available for public review and comment, the Draft Initial Study (IS) and Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND)/Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed Patterson Irrigation District Fish Screen Project. Reclamation proposes to partially fund installation of a fish screen at an existing diversion at Patterson Irrigation District. Screening the intake would provide protection to State and federally listed fish species from entrainment at the pump site.

A Draft IS/EA and an MND and Draft FONSI were prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act and are available for a 30-day public review and comment period. The Final IS/EA will address any substantive comments received during the comment period. The draft documents are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=2051
