Sacramento, CA - The Bureau of
Reclamation has made available for public review and comment, the Draft
Initial Study (IS) and Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND)/Environmental
Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the
proposed Patterson Irrigation District Fish Screen Project. Reclamation
proposes to partially fund installation of a fish screen at an existing
diversion at Patterson Irrigation District. Screening the intake would
provide protection to State and federally listed fish species from
entrainment at the pump site.
A Draft IS/EA and an MND and Draft FONSI were prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act and are available for a 30-day public review and comment period.
