Sacramento, CA - The Bureau of
Reclamation announces the availability of the Draft Environmental
Assessment (EA) for the purchase of a 41.56-acre parcel of land from Mr.
John Hubbell, which is adjacent to San Justo Reservoir, part of the San
Felipe Division, Central Valley Project. The purpose of the land purchase
is to compensate the landowner for the loss of the land use due to
landslides caused by the seepage of water from the San Justo Reservoir.
The San Justo Reservoir is federally owned and managed by Reclamation.
The Draft EA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available for a 30-day public review and comment period. Written comments are due by close of business Wednesday, April 4, 2007, and may be mailed to Ms. Patti Clinton, Bureau of Reclamation, 1243 N Street, Fresno, CA 93721, or faxed to 559-487-5397, or e-mailed to pclinton@mp.usbr.gov For additional information or to request a copy of the Draft EA, please contact Ms. Clinton at 559-487-5127, TDD 559-487-5933.
