Reclamation Begins Upper Klamath Lake Releases for the
Klamath Project

The Bureau of Reclamation's Klamath Basin Area Office announced releases
will begin from Upper Klamath Lake today. The releases will be controlled with the intention to maintain lake levels as stated in the 2010 Operations Plan. Complete charging of the canals could take as long as 10 days. The irrigation districts may begin deliveries to their customers as water becomes available. “Reclamation will monitor lake levels closely and
