WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman today announced that the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency has awarded a $91,903 grant to help
Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo continue a water pollution control program.
The funding awarded today will be used for water sampling to assess
surface water quality on pueblo lands and to continue compiling data to
determine if a more thorough watershed management program is needed to
develop water quality standards.
"This grant will make it possible for Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo to help
ensure that water quality needs are being met," Bingaman said. |
