Bill Richardson Announces $1.3 Million in Capital Outlay for Pojoaque and
Nambé Pueblos

“The critically needed projects we’re funding directly address the statewide priorities the legislature and I agreed upon,” said Governor Richardson. “The money will pay for important tribal facilities, water and sewer systems, law enforcement facilities, senior centers, and health care facilities. These projects will help drive economic development and create jobs for New Mexicans.”
Here’s a summary of the capital projects: Pojoaque
• $50,000 to plan, design, and construct a ceremonial facility at the Pueblo of Pojoaque,
• $150,000 to plan, design, and construct a cultural center on the Pueblo,
• $150,000 to construct a field and running track for Pojoaque Pueblo,
• $50,000 for equipment for the field and running track,
• $170,000 to plan, design, and construct a senior center in Pojoaque,
• $ 225,000 to design, build, and equip facilities at the Pojoaque Wellness Center.
Nambé:
• $ 250,000 for critical improvements to the Pueblo’s water and wastewater facility.
• $150,000 to construct phase two of the Pueblo’s multi-purpose community building,
• $90,000 for renovations to the Pueblo’s law enforcement headquarters building,
• $30,000 for improvements to the Pueblo of Nambé Senior Center,
• $2,000 to purchase kitchen equipment for the Senior Center,
